Junior competitive motocross riders (between the age of 7-16 years) who want to compete in a club competition for a trophy prize, are required to know the basic competition rules (theory test) and prove their riding ability to a Motorcycling WA accredited motorcycle coach (practical test) and attend an annual 5 hour coaching clinic by a Motorcycling WA approved coach. This is referred to as Kick Start Training and riders are required to keep a log book.
